Necklace restringing is an option when a favourite bead necklace breaks.
I can offer this service for all types of jewellery repairs and with prices from only £5 you can afford to get that broken piece of jewellery
repaired or altered.

Some high street jewellery shops charge high prices to repair jewellery. I don't ! I use a material called *Soft Flex' for most jewellery repairs and restringing.It consists of 19-49 strands of steel wire coated in nylon.

This material is very long lasting and can hold even large heavy beads safely.In addition I can restring an old bead necklace in a contemporary style shortening or lengthening it if needed.

How often does a necklace need restringing? Pearls knotted on silk or cotton thread every 3 months to 1 year for average ( 5 times weekly wear) Silk thread stretches over time and the space between knots lengthen Bracelets and necklaces strung on soft leather or suede thread as above.. Sharp crystal or gemstone beads every year but if beads are 'remmed' can be longer. Valuable beads should always be knotted in case the string breaks and any are lost
.I am able to source most types of antique/ethnic beads for repair work. I can use silk or linen threads for stringing pearls and other gemstone beads.

My charges for restringing beads are as follows

deduct £2 if own clasp is used

*reduction of 10% for 3 or more necklaces sent together!

All restringing is guaranteed for 1 year
